It’s easy to take AI agents for granted. In the blink of an eye, they can help us troubleshoot quickly, generate code quickly, and draw those pesky graphs that we didn’t want to draw. Unfortunately, all this comes at an environmental cost. But what is?
In this talk, Adriana and Diana will examine the energy consumption of AI agents. They will look at:
- What tools are out there to capture this data?
- How big is the environmental impact of AI agents?
- What can be done to lessen their impact?
They’ll explore limitations: what can we measure directly, what can we only estimate, and where are the gaps in today’s tooling?
By the end, they’ll return to the question behind the experiment: can we build and operate useful AI agents more sustainably?
